Only those who have never committed a selfless act believe they do not exist.
Only those who have never tried to right a wrong believe they are always right.
Growth comes from sorrowful woes. Only those who have never said they are sorry can never be forgiven.
Jealousy can not fester in a heart that is touched by love.
Doubt never surfaces in the mind that is aware.
Anger never boils in a conscience that is awake.
Hatred can not dwell in the soul that is enlightened.
Light creates the balance where darkness tips the scales.
Ego weighs heavy on the arms that teeter back and forth.
The scale that tips to high makes you believe that you are so much better, than those who are around you.
The scale that tips to low erases your self-esteem.
As a seed that is sown into the Earth. We are planted in the womb.
We slowly come alive and as all living things, await for life to die.
It is the journey through existence that prepares us for what’s to come.
You always hear, go into the light. Or come to the dark side. We all understand that in order for life to grow it needs light. That is common knowledge. Without light life can not survive. But there is a difference in those who pass through the light and those who let it inside. There can be no juggling of the positive and the negative. There can only be a forward motion. No resistance. Those who strive to be pure of heart are free of the friction that restrains their movement.
It’s not being pure of heart, it’s the striving towards it.
Life is our own. It’s belongs to no one else on this Earth. Those who look for fault in others or try to lower another’s scale in order to heighten their own are living in the shadows, hiding from the light so they will not be seen. There are also those who try to lower another’s scale so they will feel better about their own teetering so close to the ground. Either way you are setting your own value as compared to the value of someone else.
Life is your own. It’s your journey. Your quest.
When you leave this world so will you. All your memories and all your thoughts. Your dreams and your beliefs. On your last day upon this Earth do you want to look back and say, “If I only had someone who loved me. If I only had succeeded more. If I was only born into wealth. If I had only not been brought down by everyone around me.” Or do who want to look back and say, “I loved every minute of it. I loved the hard times and I loved the good times. I loved the times I was alone and I loved the times I shared with others. I smelled every flower and I tasted every flavor. I basked in the sun and only slept within the darkness. I stayed in forward motion and never let what others thought about me ever slow me down… My life was mine”.
How you feel about yourself is how you are perceived by others. A body in motion stays in motion, or so I am told. It sounds pretty right though. There are times to sit and relax and just soak in the surroundings. You never climb to the top of a mountain without enjoying the view from the top. You don’t plant a rose without enjoying it’s smell. You don’t grow vegetables not to enjoy their taste. But you have to do the work that is needed to be fulfilled by the accomplishment. Does a peach from your own tree taste the same from one you buy in the store? Does a garden you visit hold the same beauty as the one you created?
Do you live in a house of filth because your just too lazy to clean it. Does garbage and dirt no longer bother you because your scales are so far down and the darkness is just to heavy of a burden to even try to balance? Do the actions of others anger you? Do you feel unloved? Do you feel unhealthy? Do you cry often? Do you feel that no matter how hard you try no one seems to care? Do you curl up in a ball and just wait for death to come?
Life is your own. It’s a balancing act. You are no better and you are no worse than anyone else. Once you see all mankind as equal than the scales start to even out. We all live and we all die. It’s how you live that will bring you peace upon the day of your last breath. We work to create the beauty in our lives and do not rely on others to create it for us. We don’t slow down when there is work to be done, we slow down when the work is done. We move forward.
We live. In a life all our own. Influenced only by what we have created ourselves. Inspired by others but never suppressed.
Eat, drink, dance. Read, write and experience. Love, touch and bask in the sun. Listen, watch and observe. Strive for purity of heart and seek enlightenment. Or sit in a darkened room with your remote and your frozen pizza and wait for life to pass.
No one is going to live your life for you.
