A LESSON IN AMERICAN HISTORY (The bashing of a party)

Guantanamo Sept 11 Trial

All my life I have been fascinated with American history. I think a lot of people in this country who follow the conspiracy theories or spend a good portion of their day complaining about the decline of the western civilization are the very same people who fell asleep in class. Then again the average school doesn’t really teach history in the detail it deserves. Some people know their history but fail to see the human side of it. There is something special about history to me. I read any book I can get my hands on, from political autobiographies to native American journals.

So it amazes me how misguided and naive people can be on their views and beliefs when it comes to political agendas.

Now I do not affiliate myself into either political party. I agree with what Martin Luther King Jr. said on the subject. “I don’t think the Republican party is a party full of integrity or trust nor is the Democratic party. They both have weaknesses … And I’m not inextricably bound to either party for both have betrayed me”. That being said I look through history and have a hard time understanding the mindset of the Democratic party or how anyone in their right mind can actually be a part of such a thing. For a group of people who claim to be liberal and for the common man, they really have tried everything they could do destroy this form of government and gain in power and wealth by crushing the average citizen.

One of my favorite people in history was James A. Garfield. President Garfield (A Republican) was shot by a man named Charles J. Guiteau. A Democrat. Shot and killed because of his political beliefs. Garfield fought along side the Union Army in the civil war and while a part of congress fought for equal rights for all men. Then there was John Wilkes Booth another Democrat who shot Republican President Abraham Lincoln because of his views on equality for all races. So lets see…who else..oh yeah John Hinckley Jr was a registered Democrat. He shot President Reagan if you recall. Oh and then there was Lee Harvey Oswald. Okay Oswald may have not been a Democrat but he is widely believed to be used as a scapegoat for the Democratic party who is thought to have assassinated President Kennedy because Kennedy had gone rogue and was starting to do things that were good for the country and not good for the political party.

And than there was old F.D.R. Franklin Delano Roosevelt. A dominant leader of the Democratic Party. He signed into law The Neutrality Act of 1937. This lifted the ban on selling weapons and giving financial aid to countries currently as war. He did so in order for the United States to be able to help Great Britain in World War two without getting directly involved. Even if the enemy saw this as direct involvement anyway. Yet the ban should have been temporary and placed back into law or there should have been restrictions put in place. By not doing so it opened the flood gates and we started selling weapons to every war-torn country in the world as well as using the tax payers money to fund hundreds of rebellions and cues. Today we are cutting a deal to sell drones to Iraq, not because this will somehow help the people of that country but because it’s highly profitable. Now a days the United States in directly involved in EVERY SINGLE conflict in the world making us the most hated country in history.

And lets not forget President Clinton. Who in the end, 31 fellow Democrats who held congressional chairs had abandoned their party’s president and supported the GOP proposal for an investigation of Clinton without limits on its length or scope into something as STUPID as the Ken Starr report.

And here is the one that really gets me. Under the command of President Andrew Jackson the U.S. Army’s 7th Cavalry surrounded a band of Ghost Dancers under Big Foot, a Lakota Sioux chief, near Wounded Knee Creek and demanded they surrender their weapons. The very weapons that we gave them. All but one did so, because of that one they were burned alive. Over 300 people died that day, mostly women and children because the men were out attending a peace council meeting arraigned by the U.S. Army. The Trail of Tears is a name given to the ethnic cleansing and forced relocation of Native American nations from southeastern and northern parts of the States following the Indian Removal Act of 1830. President Jackson’s enthusiastic followers CREATED the Democratic Party. In the end far more Native Americans were killed, most of then burned because it was easier and safer then engaging in battle, then Jews were killed in the holocaust. The remaining survivors were granted the land of the Dakotas for their own to live upon. That was until 1874 when General Ulysses S. Grant, yes a Republican, discovered gold that area. The Black Hills Gold Rush took place there after, killing hundreds more and forcing the native tribes into basic concentration camps that they called reservations and put in place by Jackson before he left office.

Of course in the current administration there has been constant refusal of congressional approval by Democrat Obama. Not to mention the Affordable Care Act. Which has given big business insurance companies full run of the government. The act has created a larger government and forced every single resident to pay outrages fees or face penalties whether in the free market or under employee plans. Similar to the way Democrat President Roosevelt created and awarded unlimited power to the Federal Reserve.

So for a political party that has done nothing for the people it sure has fooled so many of them throughout history. They were against freedom and equality for all men. They somehow have made the people believe that it’s the republicans that are the racists. They were against the civil rights movement, and they hated Republican president Ronald Reagan for giving amnesty to 30 million immigrants. Something Obama has promised but has failed to deliver. Obama has promised no lobbyist in Washington yet has filled the White House with them. He promised to end the wars yet we remain in Afghanistan and continue to aid and arm Iraq, Syria and Egypt. He failed on his promise of a transparent government, the closing of our Cuban base, and his dreams of change. Three times as many people have already died in the middle east under his administration than under all eight years under Bush’s.

Okay. I was intending to write about a few points in history but instead ended up bashing Democrats. That was not my intention I swear. I am well aware that the Republican party has had their issues as well. After all Bush showed Obama the proper way to fix an election. Although he did put into law the “No Child Left behind” act which is still in place today and doing great things. But there was that whole 9-11 thing, which technically would have never happened if we never gotten involved in the middle eastern affairs to begin with. If there was only a law forbidding us to participate in other countries business…hmmm. So you can see how I am distraught in knowing that Hillary Clinton and Jeb Bush are the front-runners in the 2016 election. Yeah lucky us…not.

Anyway. Next time I will stay on track I promise. Just think before you follow. Follow your heart and not the greed of mankind. Equality and smaller government. Love is more powerful than empty promises. Brothers, not big brothers. Family not affiliation. I can go on forever, but I’ll stop right….here.
